My project outlines my family's migration story from the Philippines to Flatbush, Brooklyn. Between the large Caribbean and small Asian community, my Filipino family helped build an interracial community based on religion. Through high school to post-graduation, they developed a more critical understanding of race. My project explores the boundaries of understanding Pinoy identity within a “bubble,” both as a perception and as a way of life, through various cultural lenses.
