Educator Guide

Through a series of formal and informal interviews conducted over the past few weeks, along with historical information gleaned through years of close relationships, the stories in this project explore the complex and rich narratives of Bangladeshi American women.

The four Bangladeshi American women in this interview are close friends. Despite this, they lead very different lives. I want to explore these differences in the context of social, political, and economic lenses. As the daughter of one of these women, I have a unique insight into their lives. I have been privy to information and stories for decades. They have watched me grow up; I have watched them grow older. It has truly been a privilege to let them share their stories and elevate their voices, however loud or limited.
