In this project, Mohammad interviewed two Bengali students in New York City to document their journeys of learning about Bangladeshi history outside of the American educational system, and how this shaped who they are. He also created and distributed a short survey to current and former high school students from immigrant backgrounds, gathering data on how many felt their cultural histories were left out of what should have been taught to them. The combination of storytelling and data shows the emotional and systemic gaps in the DOE.
